Quite a remarkable lens, the performance is almost at the top of the line. The Bokeh of the lens is stunning, and is close to the Bokeh of the Noct-Nikkor. If you are a portrait photographer this lens should be in your kit. 

Nikon Updates

Well finally Nikon is doing something right. Maybe they realized that having the best cameras is only 30% of the job. Nikon just released some new lenses, and this seems to just be the beginning Quote: "We intend to expand and strengthen the NIKKOR lineup with the steady release of new, high-performance lenses compatible with the FX format." This is indeed about time. Of course there are several lenses, and more equipment that is still missing. But more about that in another post.

Added Nikon Zoom-Nikkor C 43-86mm f/3.5 Review In short this classic Nikon lens is the worst lens I've ever tried. Calling it a lens, just feels sort of wrong. Definition of bad would be a more fitting description.

Started 2010 with a new review. Just added Nikon SB-400 Review This unit is a great upgrade over the built in flashes in Nikon's Dslr's as you can "bounce" the flash. Unfortunately no wireless flash is possible, and it can only be used in manual mode with the Nikon D40.
